What is Skin Genius?
L’Oréal Paris Skin Genius is a skin analysis tool powered by Artificial Intelligence technology that analyzes your skin's specific needs and helps create a more personalized skincare routine. Paired with over 20 years of skin research at L’Oréal, Skin Genius is developed using a database of more than 10,000 clinically graded images. Your results are analyzed and then compared against clinically graded images of women across different ages, race/ethnicities and skin tones.

Skin Genius Analyzes 8 Key Skin Attributes:
WRINKLES
We analyze the severity of 5 different lines, wrinkles, and folds that start to form as you age: forehead lines, glabellar (frown lines), periorbital (around your eyes), nasolabial fold (smile lines), and marionette lines (corner of your mouth).
RADIANCE
We examine how light reflects on your cheeks—where radiance is most visible—and usually affected by dehydrated skin, wrinkles, enlarged pores, redness, and visible spots.
FIRMNESS
We examine the strength of your skin tonicity in two areas where skin usually starts loosening with age: upper cheeks and lower contours.
PORE QUALITY
We look for the presence of enlarged pores on each side of your nose, which can originate from oily skin, dry areas or blackheads.
PIGMENTATION
We look at skin uniformity by analyzing natural pigmentation and detecting discoloration on your cheeks—the area most exposed to environmental damage and brown spots.
FINE LINES
We analyze dehydration lines that generally appear around highly solicited areas such as around the eyes and the mouth.
EYE WRINKLES
We look at signs of fatigue and dehydration lines on your eye contour. Submitted to more than 10.000 blinks a day, it is prone to loss of elasticity and suppleness.
DEEP WRINKLES
We look at zones of great muscular solicitations: forehead, crow's feet and around the mouth.
